Day 6 – The 4th day in the school

Today is Friday! I confirmed that I have to go to 交大 for a gathering the day before this. It’s an informal meeting to meet some of the AIESECers. I have to prepare to go there once I reached the church. Here it starts my weekend vacation!

It’s my first day to take the bus on my own to the 水汴頭 and ask one of the teachers to pick me up from there. It’s definitely a very good start as I just need to cross the road and go to the bus stop opposite the church to take a bus. It took me less than 15 minutes to wait for the bus. 13 minutes to reach at 水汴頭 bus stop. By the way, the journey from 關西縣聖母院(church in Kuanhsi) to 水汴頭 costs me NTD 23.

I would like to mention there are 2 sets of breakfast again! 1st set is a cake and a pudding that paid by Brandon in the OK Mart nearby the bus stop. Then 2nd one would be 錦芳’s breakfast again, a 仙草飯糰! This time I could eat all of them and I can feel my hunger during lunch time! Yay… I ate a lot for the lunch as the dishes today are really delicious. They have eggplant, soup with dumplings,

07:50 – 08:35am Spelling test for 2nd till 6th grade

09:30 – 10:10am 6th grade English

We sang a song. It’s a very typical English song. It’s one of the graduation performances.

11:20 – 11:55am 4th grade English

The students were sooo cute that they really improve rapidly! Judy and I taught them the vocabularies in the story books as well as to correct their pronunciation. One thing very satisfying is I heard one of the students said “講英語很好玩嘛!” or “It’s fun to speak in English!” I would like to say this would be my motivation to keep teaching them. I can see the curiosity and the will to learn from their eyes. It encouraged me though. I love them.

Every day, I could listen to a few Hakka dialogues, it’s so amazing!! I could immediately ask “What does that mean?” I think it helps improving my Hakka! =)

One more thing, I got again a bowl of instant noodles from 鐘主任. Haha… again! Food food food… I am lucky to be here. Everyone is treating well by talking to me, inviting me to the house and buying breakfast for me.

It’s a rather cool day as it’s been raining in the morning.

At 4pm, Bill (my TN Manager) and Joyce appeared in the school to take Medha and I to the church to pack up our things and to a community centre for the gathering between EPs and the Project Management AIESECers. It was a long journey for me to ride on Bill’s scooter for more than 30 minutes ever since I’ve got my car license in my home country. However, I had finally made it even though it was drizzling. It is too bad that Bill had got only his front side of the T-shirt wet! Haha… I’m protected from the rain since I sat behind him.

We went for our dinner at a Teppanyaki store nearby the Chiao Tung University Campus. It costs me NTD 99 because Bill and Joyce used their matriculation card to make the payment. It was a really nice meal as I ordered a kimchi pork as my main dish and together we all have the same side dishes, fried cabbage, bean sprouts, miso soup and a drink.

Then we went for an introduction to the projects and Taiwan, hosted by the VP Project Management, Team Leaders of different projects and some of the members. I can see that they had put in a lot of efforts in the presentation. Well done. Together there were 6 EPs including me, Lokesh from India

After the almost 2 hour session (I guess it is 2 hours as I was too tired to remember all the schedule XD), we went to a café called 85°C for chit-chatting. AIESECers and EP sat together and talk about random things. Haha… It’s really random enough. Chien-Lin/Shiao B, the VP Project Management bought us a serving of Stinky toufo. Woohoo… It tastes better to be eaten with the Taiwanese kimchi. =)

After that, we took a taxi to an AIESECer’s home to stay for one night. It was really amazing and surprising for us to stay at such wonderful condominium!! It’s Charles’s home. We took almost the whole night to explore the house. Thanks to Charles and John! They are soo cute!
